The Season of Renewal
January 2020 heralds a new beginning. This new year brings an opportunity for renewal and new beginnings. ‘Taking stock’, ‘regrouping’, reflecting and reviewing – deciding what’s going to carry on being in your life, what’s working well for you and what new ideas are coming up for you now.
What do you want to keep?
What new things are emerging?
New ideas about your life and work, new hobbies and pastimes, new experiences, renewed focus on your wellness, health and fitness …
The daylight is expanding. The days are getting longer and Spring is on its way. Snow drops are starting to be seen shooting out of the ground.
January is a great time to refresh your mind, body and soul. Tidying up your home and clearing out some clutter can open your mind for new things and new thoughts and new actions. In his ground-breaking book ‘Stuffocation’ James Wallman suggests that we all have more stuff than we could ever need or use. His solution is that living with fewer possessions and valuing shared experiences more could be a very worthwhile investment in your greater peace and happiness.
This book has inspired people to ‘live more, with less’.
January is an excellent time to review your ‘state of being’ and your ‘state of doing’. Take ‘inventory’ of yourself using Shared Inspiration’s Balance Wheel. Is your life currently balanced?
Ask yourself these questions:
Are there any gaps in my life?
What is working well in my life right now?
What else would I like to focus on in my life this year?
